This is an internal endeavour that had three objectives. When we had the idea of redesigning Linkedin our first goal was to present the concept to Linkedin and demonstrate what our team was able to produce in a really short period of time. The second reason was to use the popularity of Linkedin to design a proposition that might resonate with a wider range of clients wanting to develop a social network. The third and last reason behind the project was to create a clean and minimal UI library of social network elements that we could reuse on client projects later.
To fulfil the project objectives we chose 5 screens that we redesigned completely. With those five screens we created a video showing how the redesigned screens looked like through a possible user flow. We did not recieive any feedback from Linkedin but the project was a huge marketing success. It collected more than 150,000 views between the following platforms: Vimeo, Behance and Dribbble. It generated more than 50 new clients enquiries and we won 20 projects on the back of it.
